OUR STORY
How We Got Here
Kia ora! I'm Hannah. Alongside my two sisters, my childhood was filled with exploring the outdoors, imaginary play and experimental baking. But perhaps my favourite part of it all was the innovating, crafting and making woven throughout; whether it was making our own cardboard cash registers, to turning newspaper, sellotape and our carpeted home into an 'ice rink', to crafting pretend microphones for the shows our family members
would have to endure.
That love for making has become a lifelong passion and my home and the barn here is full of DIY projects and crafts I've had a go at. I can't say I'm perfect or an expert in any one skill or technique but over time I've realised what I love most is creating environments and opportunities for other people to explore, imagine, create and make! Pair that with my love for kids and background in early
childhood education and that's how The Makery Kids was born!
